Watching The Presidential Election of The Beacon – Part 2

But all Americans know about Hunter Biden’s itchy and luscious scandals, he is prosecuted only now. If it is not because of the election, would the American judicial system be a bolt of lightning that strikes by chance randomly?

Everyone knows that the United States has a system of separation of powers. The purpose of checks and balances among powers is to avoid dictatorship and corruption. But when it is put it into practice, you will find that the various truths of the West are actually more like a patchwork of paradoxes. If the legitimacy of the executive and the legislative powers is achieved through democracy embodied in referendums, then the sanctity of the American judicial power is precisely reflected in the fact that it must never be coerced by democracy. Generally speaking, don’t you think this is checks and balances? But in practice, the other two powers must rely on the legal endorsement and confirmation of the judicial power. The judicial power is only in the hands of judges, lawyers and legal bureaucrats who are graduated law students. The separation of powers is because unrestrained power will inevitably lead to corruption. But as a matter of fact, the power in the hands of the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court is exactly like an unrestrained monster. How huge is its power? American voters may not be able to elect a president, but the justices of the U.S. Supreme Court can provide an alternative path of narrating and deciding one. With such extreme power, not only there is no force that can remove or impeach them, but there is also not even the most fundamental professional ethics and constraints.

Yes, not only us, but even the Americans have only recently discovered that there are no rules to restrict Supreme Court justices from engaging in the abuses of power and duty such as transactions involving trading power for money. The Supreme Court justices do not need to declare large gifts received from others like other judges. Ignoring the principle of recusation, clearly supporting one of the two parties, and willingly becoming the judicial power of the nominating party are already a reality that the justices do not need to shy away from. Last year, the media revealed that the most influential conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas accepted millions of dollars’ worth of gifts and private hosting and hospitality from Republican big donors almost every year during his 20 years in office. His annual salary was $285,000. Two other justices were also found to have received large undeclared financial gifts. Another conservative justice, Samuel Alito, hung a rebel flag at home in support of Trump during the Capitol Hill riots.

The Supreme Court’s strict principle of political neutrality was directly ignored. When attacked by the media and questioned by Congress, these four justices disdainfully stated that they had close personal relationships with the parties involved in the case. Accepting gifts and making friends with major donors from various parties is common in the Supreme Court and there is no need to worry about it. The request for them to set their own professional standards was simply ignored. They were high on top, condescending and disdained all democratic principles.

In the United States, fools become presidents and geniuses become judges. This proverb has its roots. This is because becoming a member of the contemporary clergy is almost the most effective channel for class ascension in the West. How did they get such a right that seems to never be questioned? Are the Western leaders really so kind that they tie their own hands in order not to interfere with the judiciary which is praised by law students and professors all over the world? Are these chief justices chosen really because they are well-educated and set good example for others?

Chinese people have an innate advantage in understanding many Western institutional setups. As long as you break out of the logic that they give you and observe a theocratic society from a secular social perspective, you can see many contradictions between Western theories and practices. In the West, the rule of law by legal professionals is actually like the wizard sorcerer taking the right to interpret scriptures from the priests, thus becoming a new privileged class. Where once priests claimed to be carrying out God’s will, now judges, lawyers, and bureaucrats claim to represent the will of liberal democracy. Neither needs to self-justify the source of their rights. Because Western people have been immersed in the unconditionality of religion for more than 2,000 years. This is the bug in their understanding of the world. You can’t doubt and question God. You see, many Chinese who have come to live in the West have become to believe in something. The religious atmosphere in the West is still very strong. The essence of the indulgence of judicial power is that people have separated the need for justice from their belief in God and transferred it to these nine deified mortals. The unquestionable ethics of the Chief Justice is actually a continuation of religious belief. If you think that the Chief Justice’s lack of personal morality will not affect his academic achievements and legal attainments, then I need to remind you that an important reason why theocracy was overthrown in the Middle Ages was because the people believed that the clergy were corrupt and could no longer represent God. Some scholars in our country always claim that a certain Western jurist is their spiritual leader, and they are saddened that our country has not followed the successful experience of Western jurists governing the country. I think this may also include some factors of envying this privilege but not being able to get it. Therefore, the indescribable longing and the sarcastic feeling about not having privileges in reality can be understood.

As the United States has been unable to continue to reap the world in recent years, and the domestic spoils cannot satisfy both parties at the same time, the contradictions of the ruling class have erupted in the form of a two-party confrontation. The actual contradiction is that the forces engaged in real economy and the forces engaged in financial harvesting cannot make money at the same time. Therefore, when neither party has put forward any clear and effective political vision, they curse and humiliate each other in vain. As the struggle escalates to the judicial power, the judicial systems at all levels in the United States have lost all shame and respect to join in the struggle and fighting between parties directly. At first, the Democrats wanted to cut off the problem from the source by using a law enacted during the Qing dynasty Guangxu period to destroy Trump’s candidacy. After failing, the hush money case against Trump was obviously aimed at freezing his campaign funds. The charges against Biden’s son seemed to be in accordance with the law. But all Americans know about Hunter Biden’s scandals. He is only being prosecuted now. If there is no election, is the American judicial system a thunderbolt? It happens by chance randomly? The daughter of Juan Merchan, the Supreme Court judge who presided over the Trump hush money case, was sued in New York State. The Supreme Court judge immediately announced that the verdict on Trump’s hush money case would be postponed until after the election. So, where is the backbone of judicial independence? On the other hand, the Democrats have now pushed federal courts in 10 states to pass bills to tie abortion referendums to presidential votes, several of which are in Trump’s red states. The purpose of the Democratic Party to use judicial means to dig up Trump’s red foundation is self-evident.

When I was studying, I argued for the principle of judicial independence and quoted classics, and also left my own offerings in the debate world. The judicial power has appeared in front of the world’s disciples as a tool of political struggle. The sacredness of the American judiciary is like the idol of law students all over the world, the Dean of Harvard Law School, Alan Dershowitz, who has been nailed to the pillar of shame at the top of the Lolita Island visitor list.

When I was an undergraduate around 2008, I often felt anxious. The West had proven that ballot electoral voting was effective, law students could govern the country, and finance could make the country rich. Why didn’t we use such useful strategies? Then I was asked about my questions and felt very distressed. In 2016, I was at a dinner in Hawaii and watched Obama’s speech. I was really inspired to convert. At that time, even the wildest political imagination would not have expected that the US president would later degenerate to the point of pooping and shitting his pants in public. The two parties themselves probably did not expect that this election would expose the truth of American democracy nakedly to all eyes of the whole world in a situation where both sides would end up being destroyed. The upper class had to take off their clothes one by one and continue physical fight. Along with the fall of the sanctity of judicial power, there is also the last guarantee of the transfer of power in the United States to worry about. If the attack on the US aircraft carrier off the coast of Yemen is the Zhou emperor’s loss of the deer in the wild (losing power and the support of the people, letting the power open for competition), then this election is the Julianus moment (Last moment of the emperor) of the US president. No matter who wins, the sacredness of the king of this world will be gone.

The two parties have now completely given up trying to win over voters’ rationality through effective political propositions, but instead are further inciting voters’ religious thinking bug with a posture of good versus evil, fanatical and blind. So, no matter who wins, the United States will lose the rationalist background that it has been proud of since the West exorcised its enchantment. I think after the carnival of the Holy Election, the people will find out that the reality of the US’s 35 trillion national debt and soaring inflation will not be solved with the election. That will be when the real test begins. After this grand curtain falls like a religious ceremony, the entire Western civilization will realize that the United States would lose the glory of the beacon of civilization, and further develop into the Eye of Sauron (The eye of the Dark Lord, Sauron) that looms over its own sphere of influence.
